Amanita muscaria

Another mushroom on another floor sample (have a look at my other mushrooms here and here).

Amanita muscaria , commonly known as Fly agarics, is a very pretty mushroom- but also very poisonous.

This little guy is also for sale- $25.  Contact me if interested (I do not answer rude messages or e-mails about my personal life, please be respectful).

The Woods

Spooky trees in a spooky woods.

I’m not sure if I’m totally finished with this piece. I’m thinking of putting more detail in the trees and maybe on the ground by the tree roots. Not sure though-I don’t want to overdo it (and ruin it!), but it just seems a little incomplete to me. Any advice? What do you guys think? What would you change?

Boletus edulis

My last mushroom painting seemed to be quite popular (if you haven’t seen it have a look here), so I’ve decided to do a little mushroom series. This one here is a Boletus edulis, otherwise known as the Penny Bun or Porcino.

The Penny Bun was painted on a wood floor sample (just like my last mushroom painting) and is for sale for $25. Please contact me (see the contact section of my blog) if interested or have any questions.

Since lately I have no time for art I’m posting up an old watercolor painting.

Not one of my favorites, but it was done just as I was starting to experiment with watercolor techniques.

The Witch

Halloween is just around the corner, thus I thought it would be appropriate to post this painting of a spooky witch.

I started painting her back in 2009, using some picture I found as a reference. However, I was not very pleased with the results and left it half finished. I found her a few weeks ago, stuffed in a dark corner, collecting dust and cob webs- so I decided to fix her up a bit.

Posted here is my final result. Can’t say I like her all that much, but she looks a whole lot better than she used to. I’m glad that my painting skills improved a little …
