JNiggelArt is 3 years old!
Thank you for the continuous love and support!
This year has been especially busy for JNiggelArt. I’ve opened an Etsy Craft shop (have a look here) as well as been trying to sell my arts and crafts at art fairs and festivals.
To celebrate, I’m giving away one of my handmade salt dough ornaments (the butterfly pictured above) to one of my lucky fans/followers. All you have to do is comment below so I know that you are interested. You can include anything in you comment-a great story, a recipe for a yummy dish, tell me who inspires you, your favorite book/movie/artist, etc, etc…. The most interesting comment wins the ornament!
Thanks for the 3 years!
Jess @ JNiggelArt
P.s. The winner of the givaway will be announced next week. Good Luck!
New JNiggelArt Etsy Shop!
Currently I have handmade ornaments for sale- Perfect for your house or as a gift!
P.s. I also make things to order. If you want something painted/illustrated, or like one of my ornaments but want it personalized – please drop me an e-mail (contact details available here) and I’ll see what I can do.
If you’re in the area, pop over to the Indian Rocks flea market/craft sale on the 9th! I’ll be there selling my artwork, as well as handmade ornaments, jewelry and cards. All my artwork is original, handmade, and most of my crafts are made from recycled materials (perfect for the nature lovers!).
Hope to see you there!

Oasis Art Center in Philadelphia (which helps people with disabilities express themselves through art) is hosting an exhibition of portraits created by their clients, staff, volunteers and former artists in residence. The reception was on Friday, but the Portraiture exhibit runs throughout October. There is a lot of wonderful artwork to look at, majority of which was done by people with various disabilities. Worth a visit!
P.s. I’m also exhibiting two pieces (Sorry for the bad picture quality – I still have to figure out how to use the camera on my phone).
First of all I’d like to apologize for not posting on my blog for over a month. I’ve had some computer problems which left me stuck without internet for 3 weeks. And because of this I missed my first blog anniversary (which was on Feb. 28)!
But I finally got my computer back and now I can thank everybody for all the love and support that kept JNiggelArt going for a full year! Thank you so much! Your kind words and comments mean a lot to me.
During the weeks I’ve spent without my computer I’ve received some special gifts which I would like to share and thank for.
First I’d like to extend a special thanks to Ziggy for sending me an amazing illustrated letter:
I absolutely love the mad scientist elf she drew-a mad scientist elf for a mad scientist! Just perfect! As a thank you Ziggy is also getting a little gift from me- hope she gets it soon!
Ziggy is trying to revive the lost art of hand written letters (all beautifully illustrated) and if you’d like to help out in her project just leave a comment here. Don’t forget to check out the rest of her blog (here) which is full of elves and wonderful stories.
Big thanks to Apu from THEO collective for exchanging art copies and sending me some great postcards:
I really enjoy the postcards (all of interesting collages) and even sent out a few.
Thank you to Tiffini Johnson for sending me one of her beautiful books:
Tiffini is a writer and an author of many interesting books (which you can read about on her blog here). A special thank you gift is on it’s way to Tiffini- hope it gets to her safely.
And last but not least, a super thank you to my cousins daughter Lidka for these lovely creations:
I just love her drawings (especially the koala-just adorable!). And for such beautiful art Lidka also gets a special gift.
Lidka is a super talented artist and an amazing person! I’m one lucky (and proud) aunt!
Once everyone recives their thank you gifts I’ll post them up on my blog for everyone to see.
Thanks for a wonderful year!
All the best
